An acoustic sensing element used in FiberStrike's pipeline leak detection system, combining fiber optic and electroacoustic techniques to locate a leak or crack between paired sensor points.

The system defines a zone as the distance between any two sensor points. When two sensors simultaneously detect a leak signature the system determines how far the event is from each sensor and localises it within that zone. An unlimited number of zones may be linked together to cover long pipeline runs. CEL publishes no frequency response, sensitivity, dynamic range or operating temperature figures for this sensor anywhere on its website or in any downloadable datasheet, so no specification rows are recorded.

Passive FBG open/close interlock switches for intrusion detection at access portals such as manholes, hatchways and handholes. Many switches network on a single fiber and report to a remote controller.

A patented fiberglass grid walking platform with embedded FBG sensors that detects the presence of a person standing on it. Platforms multiplex over one fiber and report to remote monitoring equipment.

Passive fiber-optic proximity switch that returns reflected light when a magnet brings a field of 1000 gauss or more to the sensor.
