Technical overview

Shinkosha presents backward protection as a capability demonstrated by thermal imaging rather than as a separately specified model. In its published test, 3 W of 1064 nm light injected backwards for 5 minutes drove the input fiber to a peak of 112.6 C without backward protection and 48.1 C with it. No wavelength range, power rating, insertion loss, isolation or package dimensions are published for this option, and Shinkosha does not state which isolator configurations can carry it.
