KLS-201A Series

Technical overview

The KLS-201A is the standard benchtop tunable diode laser in Koshin Kogaku's KLS line, ordered in one of eight wavelength bands from the 1064 band (1000-1100 nm) through the U band (1620-1680 nm). Wavelength is set in 0.1 nm steps over a tunable range of 100 nm or more, with accuracy of +/-0.2 nm on the 1220 band and above. Typical linewidth is 50 kHz on the O to U bands, widening to 100 kHz on 1220 and 500 kHz on the 1064 and 1100 bands; typical RIN is -145 dB/Hz at 0 dBm. Output is on polarization-maintaining fiber with a 20 dB extinction ratio, and the unit adds a 270 Hz CHOP function, variable attenuation, internal low-frequency modulation, a beam shutter and GP-IB control.
