850-nm-band amplifier (EDFA, Bench Top)

A bench-top fiber amplifier operating around 850 nm, built on FiberLabs' fluoride fiber amplifier technology. FiberLabs describes it as the only 850-nm-band fiber amplifier on the market, typically paired with a reference transmitter for receiver stress testing of 850 nm transceivers.

Technical overview

The AMP-FL8401 is a single-model bench-top amplifier covering 847 to 853 nm with a nominal wavelength of 850 nm. It delivers at least 20 dB of small-signal gain measured at -30 dBm input, uses HI780 input and output fiber with FC/PC connectors, and carries built-in input and output isolators. Front-panel control is supplemented by RS-232C and GP-IB remote interfaces, with ACC and ALC control modes and remote interlock.

Features

  • Only 850-nm-band Fiber Amplifier in Market
  • High Gain
  • Turn-Key Operation
  • RS-232C and GP-IB
