GTR FBG Interrogator System
Miniature single-channel Fiber Bragg Grating interrogator module built on integrated photonics (ASPIC), with USB output and up to 19.2 kHz sampling. Distributed in the US by Sensuron.
Technical overview
The GTR is a single optical channel FBG interrogator supporting up to eight FBG sensors on that channel, sampling at a default 19.23 kHz with 1 kHz, 5 kHz and 10 kHz options. Wavelength measurement covers a guaranteed 1516 nm to 1583 nm with output resolution better than 1 pm/bit (typically about 0.275 pm/bit) and precision of sigma below 2 pm over 1000 samples. It is a compact 100 x 114 x 35 mm, 310 g module drawing under 10 W, with an FC/APC single mode optical interface and a USB 2.0 data path. A mezzanine interface allows custom data interfacing by sub-component replacement, and the platform is offered for OEM integration.
